Dr__Wolfgang_SchusterDr. Wolfgang Schuster has been serving as Mayor of Stuttgart, capital of Baden-Württemberg, since 1997. He studied law and political science in Tübingen, Geneva and Freiburg. From 1978 to 1980, Wolfgang Schuster was a consultant with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of State. He served as Chief City Director of Stuttgart from 1980 to 1986. Following this, Wolfgang Schuster held the office of Mayor of the City of Schwäbisch Gmünd, before assuming the post of Deputy Mayor for Culture, Education and Sport in Stuttgart in 1993. He is a member of numerous national and international organisations, including Vice-President of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) in Brussels, Vice-President of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and Chairman of the three networks Cities for Mobility, Cities for Children and Cities for Local Integration Policy (CLIP).
