Susanne_DorasilSusanne Dorasil has been Head of the department "Economic Policy; Financial Sector" of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) since 2008. This unit focuses on the issues of sustainable economic development, good corporate governance, public-private partnerships (PPP) for development and chamber and association partnerships. Susanne Dorasil studied law at Freie Universität Berlin and earned a master of laws degree at King's College, London. Before leading her current department, Susanne Dorasil worked for the BMZ in the West Africa regional department as personal assistant to the secretary of state, as well as for the office of the ministry’s general counsel. She was also Senior Advisor in the office of the German Executive Director of the World Bank in Washington D.C. Her tasks there focused on the areas of resource allocation and financing instruments, the International Development Association (IDA), education, corporate governance, good governance, fragile states and environmental and social standards.
