Leila Rispens-NoelLeila Rispens-Noel has been a programme manager at INAFI (International Alternative Financial Institutions) since March 2009. INAFI is a network of more than 300 microfinance institutions in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Leila Rispens-Noel manages an EU-funded project titled "Harnessing the Potentials of Migration for Development by Linking Microfinance Institutions and Immigrant Associations" that is being implemented in ten sub-Saharan countries and ten European countries. Prior to this she worked for Oxfam Novib and was responsible for providing technical support to Dutch NGOs and Diaspora organisations with projects in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and the Cameroon. Leila Rispens-Noel has promoted the integration of migrants into development strategies and the active participation of Diaspora organisations in decision-making processes in the sectors of migration as well as development. She is a member of the Migrants Advisory Board (MAB) of the Joint Initiative for Migration and Development (JIMD) of the European Commission and the United Nations.
