ChristianGramschChristian Gramsch has been Director of Programmes for the Deutsche Welle in Bonn since 2006. After a traineeship with the newspaper Rheinische Post, he worked as a journalist with the public broadcaster Südwestfunk and as correspondent for the broadcasting news agency RUFA. Christian Gramsch has worked in radio and television for national public broadcaster ARD as a reporter, moderator and editor. Among other roles, he moderated the news broadcast JOURNAL of the foreign-language broadcaster DW-TV and the current-affairs show "Aktuelle Stunde" at WDR Television. Concurrently, he worked as a moderation trainer for WDR, SWR and Deutsche Welle. In March 2000, Christian Gramsch was named editor in chief for radio at public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk, and was additionally appointed Director of Programmes at hr1 – Das Radio Magazin in March 2004. As Director of Programmes at Deutsche Welle, Christian Gramsch is responsible for the journalistic content of DW-RADIO and DW-WORLD.DE in German and 29 other languages.
